Three Ruby-based companies — Coinbase (Rails), Stripe (Sinatra), and Shopify (Rails) — back the x402 Foundation, the Linux Foundation's new open standard for AI-native payments.
Coinbase and Stripe co-founded the foundation with Cloudflare. Shopify joins alongside Google, AWS, Microsoft, Mastercard, and Visa. The first open protocol for agent-to-agent commerce.
